Justin Shing, B. Kin, MPT, received a degree in Kinesiology in 2012 from Simon Fraser University. After this, he worked as a kinesiologist and created programs that targeted musculoskeletal injuries and neurological disorders. In 2017, he received his Master of Physiotherapy degree in Australia, at the University of Sydney. There, he worked at a rapid-paced sports physiotherapy clinic and a rehabilitation hospital. Consequently, he gained extensive experience working with other healthcare professionals, such as surgeons, rheumatologists, chiropractors, and massage therapists.
Over the past seven years that Justin has been practicing physiotherapy, his patients have included many with sports-related injuries and motor vehicle injuries. He has also rehabilitated post-surgical patients and helped people with chronic back and neck pain reach their recovery goals.
Justin believes that each patient is unique and needs their care customized to their individual needs. He carefully assesses patients to determine the appropriate treatment plan for them, involving his expertise with manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, dry needling (IMS), and other modalities. After your initial visit with him, you shall better understand your injury and how physiotherapy will help you get back to the activities most important to you.
Some of Justin’s favourite activities are volleyball, ultimate frisbee, and strength training. Due to leading such an active lifestyle, he has over the years suffered many injuries himself. He knows from experience how effective physiotherapy can be in terms of recovery as well as preventing future injuries.
Unrelated to physiotherapy, Justin particularly enjoys scouring the Lower Mainland for good coffee.

Audrey completed her Bachelors of Kinesiology at the University of British Columbia in 2013. Throughout her undergraduate degree, she volunteered at Vancouver General Hospital and Sunny Hill Health Care for Children developing a passion to assist others through rehabilitation. The following year Audrey moved to Sydney, Australia and completed her Master of Physiotherapy at the University of Sydney. After graduation Audrey worked in Sydney for one year and gained hands on experience in manual therapy techniques to assist with joint mobilizations, soft tissue releases and other exercise specific techniques.
She is a firm believer in prescribing exercises to guide and enhance the rehabilitation process by improving mobility, restoring function and preventing future injury. In addition, Audrey continued to expand her skill set by becoming certified in functional dry needling (FDN), also known as intramuscular stimulation (IMS), through Kinetacore.
Audrey has a strong interest for musculoskeletal injuries but is also interested in Women’s Health. Audrey, who recently became a mother, has learned the benefits of how physiotherapy can assist with clogged ducts and mastitis, which can be a concern for women who may have difficulty with latching and breastfeeding. This is a particular interest of hers as she has had first hand experience with these issues. She has also had the opportunity to work with expectant mothers and breast cancer patients while working in private practice. She hopes to further explore Women’s Health as a specialization in the near future.
In her spare time, Audrey remains active by playing sports such as volleyball and ultimate frisbee and hiking. She loves exploring new places and documenting her travels through photography. She also enjoys scrapbooking her adventures.
Audrey is currently on maternity leave.

Robertson Wong earned his Doctorate of Physical Therapy at the University of St. Augustine in St. Augustine, FL in 2003. Before that he earned a Bachelors in Kinesiology from Simon Fraser University in 1999. His Doctorate coursework focused on orthopaedic manual therapy techniques for the spine and extremities, including the temporomandibular joint (TMJ). Postgraduate training in vestibular rehabilitation followed in 2006.
Kinetacore Functional Dry Needling Level 1 certification was completed in 2014, followed by Level 2 certification in 2019. Robertson has primarily worked in private practice sports and orthopaedic physiotherapy clinics during his career. He has also worked at VGH, LGH and Richmond Hospital in various inpatient settings.
Robertson Wong’s clinical approach is based on taking a detailed history followed by a thorough assessment and diagnosis. Then he uses a combination of manual therapy, functional dry needling, therapeutic modalities, and exercises for treatment. Clients will be educated about their diagnosis and treatment plan along the way, and a home exercise program will be given if needed.
The ultimate goal is to correct the underlying problem rather than treating just the symptoms. Robertson has extensive experience with sports and orthopaedic physiotherapy. He also has experience with treating TMJ (jaw) disorders, chronic headaches, and vestibular problems.

Waymen Wong graduated with his Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree in 2002 with high honours from the University of St. Augustine in Florida, USA. After a year long post graduate study in manual therapy, he sat for and successfully passed a 2-day intensive written, oral, and practical examination to receive his Manual Therapy Certificate (MTC). In 2003 he moved to Seattle, Washington and had a practice at the Ballard Sports Medicine Clinic working in a team with orthopaedic doctors and surgeons treating college and professional level athletes.
During his time in Seattle he completed an orthopaedic manual therapy residency program with the Ola Grimsby Institute, and in 2005 a post-doctoral fellowship in Chicago, receiving well over 1500 hours of residency training and 1000 hours of advanced fellowship level training. In 2006 he sat for and passed his residency and fellowship exams to become a Fellow in both the Canadian and American Academies for Manual Therapy (FAAOMPT, FCAMPT). Later that year he returned to Vancouver, where he is originally from, and practiced in a chronic pain clinic, as well as various sports and orthopaedic clinics.
Before physiotherapy, Waymen’s first degree was in kinesiology from Simon Fraser University. As a kinesiologist he worked in gym settings as a personal trainer, and in rehabilitation settings helped patients with return to work programs and post MVA injuries.
Today, Waymen continues to be involved with the Ola Grimsby Institute through assisting post-graduate residency programs, being a clinical mentor to residency students, and coordinating continuing education courses in Canada for physiotherapists.
He is a contributing author in the Orofacial Pain and TMJ section of an academic textbook (Science, Theory and Clinical Application in Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapy: Scientific Therapeutic Exercise Progressions (STEP): The Neck and Upper Extremity), has held classes for physiotherapists as well as dentists in the areas of manual therapy and TMJ, and has been involved with the Physiotherapy Association of BC (PABC) having sat on the Extended Scope of Practice Task Force and the Professional Development Advisory Council. He is a member of the American Academy of Manual Therapy, American Academy of Orofacial Pain, Canadian Physiotherapy Association, Physiotherapy Association of BC, and the Canadian Academy of Manual Physical Therapy.
Waymen has specialized training in treating temporomandibular disorders and orofacial pain. His philosophy is that even sports performance can be greatly affected by breathing and jaw dysfunction as these have profound effects on postural biomechanics, power generation, and core stability. Optimizing and balancing the body from head to toe must include proper evaluation of all these systems.
(Please note: Waymen is only taking on new patients through direct referral or those who have complex TMJ issues.)
